Granada around 1900. Cameron and I lived in the first building on the right side of the bridge when I was there studying flamenco. That same fig tree is still growing out of the stone wall there. The original entrance to The Alhambra is just behind the bridge, through that broken arch. Those cats' decendents still live down by the river.

"Nathan's music tells a bold sonic story in a time when many musicians are unwilling to take any risks. There are shades of Beck and Frank Zappa (note...he doesn't really know who Frank Zappa is) in his compositions, yet he ventures way beyond. His songs express true human emotions. He glides and shimmies into the deep cerebellum of the musical solar system. When listening to this album, wear a chicken suit."—Adam Topol, Creator of Culver City Dub Collective and drummer for Jack Johnson and Piers Faccini

"...it's quite an amazing accomplishment. I guess that the guitar parts stand alone so well that I wasn't really expecting very intricate arrangements, but they were a real nice surprise. I love Like the Dog with the hand claps especially. Very understated and tasteful and though there's a lot of layers in the whole thing, it's not too busy for me. It seems like a lot of people think "I'm making a studio production here, better use a million tracks of all kinds of different instruments and other shit and produce the hell out of it." But you didn't seem to, which I like. Also I didnt really realize what a great singing voice you have in the open mic situations, but it really struck me here. Finally I really enjoyed the message of gratitude in the liner notes. That is the sort of thing that really draws me into someone's work, when they're not afraid to put out there who they are and what they stand for, so I really appreciated that and if I wasn't already a fan, that confirmed it."—Mimi LaValley, Guitar and Vocals of Hogzilla, Brooklyn
